The Palatinus Bath on Margaret Island is easily accessible from both ends of the island.
From the Árpád Bridge, take tram line 1 to the “Népfürdő utca / Árpád híd” stop, or from the Margaret Bridge, take tram lines 4 or 6 to the “Margitsziget / Margit híd” stop.
From either stop, simply hop on bus 26, which takes you directly to the entrance of the bath — and the long-awaited splash can begin!

Visitors arriving by car can park in the paid parking area at the Margaret Island exit of Árpád Bridge. From there, it’s only about a 10-minute walk to the refreshing pools.
Alternatively, you can also hop on bus 26 at the nearby “Zenélőkút” stop, which takes you directly to the entrance of the bath.
PALA Shuttle Service
PALA Shuttle Service
As an extra convenience, we offer our guests the free PALA Shuttle, making it even easier to reach the bath.
During the summer season, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., the shuttle departs every hour on the hour and half past from the Centenary Monument (on the Margaret Bridge side), taking passengers directly to the Palatinus Bath.
On-site signs indicate the exact boarding point, where our driver will be waiting with an electric minibus to ensure a comfortable ride across Margaret Island straight to the bath.
